THEME: COURTS OF HEAVEN
1 John 2:1-2 NKJV
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”
INSIGHT
–Jesus is our Advocate and Defense, our attorney in the courts of heaven which we access through the atonement by His precious blood. God calls us to deliberately avoid sin, and if we commit sin, then we have an advocate who pleads our case before God the Father.
SUMMARY
The court of heaven is a spiritual dimention that we access in authority and permission of God through His precious blood. Joshua the high priest stood before the Angel of the Lord, and satan was standing at his right hand to oppose him. The Lord removed his filthy garments from him and forgave his iniquity from him, and clothed him with rich robes (Zechariah 3:1-4). The courts of heaven exist where the Ancient of Days was seated, the court was seated, and the books were opened (Daniel 7:9-10). The accuser was prevailing against the saints, and the Ancient of Days is the righteous Judge who makes a favourable judgement for the saints to possess the kingdom (Daniel 7:21-22). King David spoke of wicked men who spoke against him and accused him but he gave himself to prayer (Psalms 109:1-4). The parable of the persistent widow is frequently used to show how believers can bring their petitions before God as a righteous Judge to secure justice against an adversary (Luke 18:1–8). We overcome the accuser by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies (Revelation 12:11).
PRAYER
Abba Father our Ancient of Days we worship You and give You praise. You are our Good God and Almighty Father. May You forgive us for every sin and iniquity and cleanse us with Your precious blood. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against us in judgment You shall condemn dear Jesus for this is our heritage dear Lord Lord and out righteousness is from You. May You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. May You bless us and keep us Lord, may You shine Your face towards and be gracious to us, may You shine Your countenance unto us and give us peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen
