THEME: DRAW NEAR TO GOD

Exodus 20:21 NKJV

“So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.”

INSIGHT

–The Lord gave the Ten Commandments to the Israelites who were at the lower reaches of mount Sinai, and they were afraid. Moses was not afraid of God but feared Him, and the Lord used Him to deliver His people from captivity and tribulations by His mighty power. Moses drew near God amidst the thick darkness despite the danger that would be prevalent at the mountain. We are called to draw near to God by having firm faith and trust in Him despite our shortcomings.

PRAYER

Dear Lord God Almighty, only You are greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints. Only You are to be held in reverence by all those around You. O LORD God of hosts, Who is mighty like You, O LORD, Your faithfulness surrounds You. Lord You have called us to draw near to You and to remain in Your holy presence, may You teach us to be always submitted to You and under the shadow of Your wings despite any form of difficulties knowing that You shall surely deliver us. Lord You keep in perfect peace, those whose minds are stayed on You, for we trust in You. We trust in You forever and in Your everlasting strength. We shall not be anxious in the year of drought nor in any situation but we shall be fruitful and victorious in every season. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus might name. Amen
