THEME: DRAW NEAR TO GOD

James 4:8-10 NKJV

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

INSIGHT

-The basic culture of building a relationship requires reciprocity. When we draw near to God, He reciprocates and draws near to us. Just like the law of love that God so loved the world and gave His only Begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but has everlasting life (John 3:16). God calls each one to love Him with all heart, mind and soul and our neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39).

PRAYER

Dear Lord Jesus You are rich in mercy and love. Thank You for loving us with great love that even when we were dead in trespasses, You made us alive together with You Christ and by Your grace we have been saved. Nothing can separate us from Your love dear Lord Jesus. If we say that we love You Lord yet hate our neighbor we are liars, may You forgive us and help us to love one another as ourselves. May You help us to serve the communities especially those who are suffering including the street families and the less fortunate. May You empower us so that we can be a blessing to others. We love You dear Lord Jesus and bless Your holy name, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
