THEME: DESTINY RE-ALIGNERS
John 5:3-6
“In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
INSIGHT
-The parable of the man at the pool of Bethesda is a classic example of Jesus as our destiny re-aligner. Jesus healed the man who had suffered for thirty-eight years and was unable to access the stirred water. Jesus heals all our sicknesses, weaknesses, addictions, limitations, and transforms our lives in a special way. We are called to trust in Him in whatever situations that we might be faced with, for He loves us and cares for us.
SUMMARY
Destiny re-aligners are people who God sends to help and re-direct individuals, families, societies, and nations in fulfilling their purposes in Him. Joshua pronounced a curse upon the city of Jericho that anyone who builds shall lay its foundation with his firstborn and the gates with his youngest child (Joshua 6:26). The land became barren and many women and animals miscarried. During the time of King Asa of Judah and King Ahab of Israel, Hiel of Bethel rebuild the land. He laid its foundation with Abiram his firstborn, and with his youngest son Segub he set up its gates (1 Kings 16:34). Elisha became the destiny re-aligner of the city of Jericho. He sprinkled salt on the water source and healed the nation according to the word of the Lord (2 Kings 2:19-22). The land was productive before it was cursed, and Israel came to besiege the city. When Joshua sent two spies to the land of Jericho, Rahab a harlot hid them on the roof of her house and they were successful in their conquest. When the city was destroyed, Rahab and her family were saved (Joshua 2:1-4). Both Rahab and the two spies realigned the destinies of each other, and the entire nation. Abraham also re-aligned the destiny of Lot when he prayed for his salvation in Genesis 18:23-26. Jesus loves us and re-alignes our destinies. He redeemed us from the curse of law by His blood on the cross (Galatians 3:13).
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today at Your throne of mercy. We exalt You and honor You for there is none like You. You are worthy to be praised and worshiped. Great are You Lord and great are Your works and promises. We thank You for all You have done for us, and this far You have brought us. You have been with us, guiding us and protecting us, we thank You God and appreciate You. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and no tongue that rises against us in judgment shall prevail in Your name Jesus. Father, we pray that You will continue re-aligning our destinies to what You have called us for Oh Lord. May You send us destiny re-aligners to help us where we struggle or need help. May You strengthen us and walk with us. Father may You give us with Your divine wisdom to know who are our destiny re-aligners, destiny helpers and to discern them. May You help us to accomplish that which will please You and benefit us, and Your kingdom for Your Glory. May You walk with us in this journey of purpose and straighten our paths in You. We pray for the sick and suffering, may You heal and deliver them. May You provide for the needy and all those who are struggling. Mighty Father may You bless us and keep us, may Your face shine upon us and be gracious to us. May You turn Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen.
Blessed Weekend
