Genesis 11:6 NKJV
”And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them.“
INSIGHT
–Unity in Hebrew is written as yachad which means togetherness or one accord. The descendants of Noah decided to reach God by building the temple of Babel. They spoke one language and agreed as one. When they decided to do that which was against God’s will, they succeeded, and God divided their language. The Holy Trinity is One, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Who is united as One. We find God in the Triune nature in this chapter agreeing as One saying “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech” (Genesis 11:7). Therefore, when people put their hearts to either do that which is in the will of God or against it, they will succeed. In the place of unity God commands a blessing (Psalms 133:1-3). In everything that we do and plan to achieve and we unite together, we will never fail by the grace of God.
PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus we thank You for You have enabled us to see this new week by Your grace and mercy. We come to Your throne of grace that we may find grace and mercy to help us during our time of need. This is our time of need dear Lord, help us. Help us to be united with one another, in our interactions, families, associations and reunite every broken relationship dear Lord Jesus. May You lead us and guide us with Your eye and may Your hand be upon us to grant us peace in every direction, and lift us high to new territories. We honor You dear Lord and exult Your name now and forever. Amen

”Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the Lord.“
INSIGHT
–King Hezekiah wrote to all Israel and Judah requesting them to come to a sacred ceremony in honor of the Lord. He exhorted the people to return to the Lord and be consecrated. The Lord granted them unity of mind that they may execute the word of God and the kings order and gather for the Passover feast. Amos 3:3 reminds us that, two cannot walk together unless they agree. Unity of mind ensures sharing in ideas, vision, purpose and way of doing things. In work, collaboration in projects, ministry, marriage, friendships, relationships, leadership, national interests and the government at large that exhibit excellence and mutual understanding for the glory and honor of God’s name.
PRAYER
As a deer pants for brooks of water so my soul yearns for you. My soul thirsts for You Lord, our living God. May You forgive us all our trespasses, transgressions, iniquities and all sin, and cleanse us with Your precious blood. May You sanctify us fully body, soul and spirit. We pray for our country Kenya that You may bless our nation and heal our land. May You guide our leaders including our president in Your wisdom that only Your will may prevail. ”All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.
INSIGHT
–The early church believers were complete selfless. They gave generously to the needy, going to great extents of selling their property and brought the money to the apostle’s feet, a sign of submission. They were united in heart and compassionate to the less fortunate. They gave freely and God’s grace was working powerfully in the church and among the brethren.
PRAYER
O Lord, our God, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger. Lord Jesus, You say in Your word that pure and undefiled religion is to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. May You deliver oh Lord all the widows, orphans and street families from their distress. May You help us and enable us to reach those who are in need among us, and to support them where possible. May You empower us to support and help all those who are in need among us including the street children. May Your will and purpose prevail in our lives. Dear Lord Jesus, may You teach us to give freely and anoint us to receive freely as well, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. Thank You Lord for Your blessings and grace upon our lives. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen

Matthew 18:19-20 NIV
”Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
INSIGHT
–Unity in prayer is a powerful system of communication with God. When at least two agree as one in prayer, they form a three-cord strand with the Holy Spirit, which cannot be easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Whatever they bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever they loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Depending on the number of people praying for a specific person, the purpose or thing, and the condition it echoes in the heavens many times, and thus its opposition becomes impossible. Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped God while they were in prison, and the Lord answered and delivered them. Let us not tire but continue in prayer in groups without ceasing and the Lord will answer us according to His word and plan for our lives.
PRAYER
Oh dear Lord, we exalt Your name and praise You this day. How we enthrone You above everything in the world and in our lives. We adore and magnify You for there is none like You in the heavens and in the whole earth. Oh Lord how many are our foes. How many rise up against us and say to us, “God will not deliver you.” But You Lord, are a shield around us, our glory, the One who lifts our heads high. We call out to You Lord, and You answer us from Your holy mountain. We lie down to sleep; and wake up again, because You Lord sustain us. We will not fear though tens of thousands assail us on every side. Arise, Lord and deliver us, our God. Strike all our enemies on the jaw; and break the teeth of the wicked. From You Lord comes deliverance. May Your blessing be on us Your people. May You fight for us every battle dear Jesus and grant us breakthroughs in every sphere of our lives. May You answer our prayers and hearts desires according to Your merciful love. At Your name, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus You are Lord to the glory of God the Father. Amen

Philippians 2:1-5 NIV
”Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:“
INSIGHT
–Christ unites us in the Christian faith as one in Him. For we are one body with Christ yet different parts with diverse gifts that form the church (1 Corinthians 12:12-31). Having faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit unites us to one another with love. The fruit of love precipitates joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self control. We are then called to be completely humble and gentle, patient and bearing each other with love (Ephesians 4:2).
SUMMARY
Unity is strength. The ant though a tiny insect they unite together and gain the capacity to lift objects 10 to 50 times heavier than their own weight. They have no captain nor ruler yet are able to collaborate and gather food during harvest and have sufficient for summer (Proverbs 6:7-8). Whenever people unite as one, whatever they decide to do will be withheld from them (Genesis 11:6). God gives us unity of mind to carry out what the leaders in authority propose and obey His word as king Hezekiah did (2 Chronicles 30:12). God also grantsbelievers unity of heart and mind and enables them to offer their possessions and shared with the less fortunate as He did with the early church (Acts 4:32). God also calls us to unite in prayer for whenever two or three gather in His name is is there with us (Matthew 18:19-20). God Himself in One though present in a Triune nature, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As we unite in Christian faith we are one with Christ and called to love one another. If the we have been united with Him in a death like His, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like His (Romans 6:5).
PRAYER
Almighty Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before Your Majesty oh King of Kings. We say that You are highly exalted and magnified above all. May You receive all glory, honor and power. Father we pray that You shall unite us by Your precious blood Lord Jesus and by Your Holy Spirit.
