THEME: SHOES OF THE GOSPEL

Ephesians 6:14-15 NKJV

“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;”

INSIGHT

–Putting on the whole armor of God ensures that our feet are protected and our steps kept from slipping. Shoes are necessary for standing firm and to keep standing firm. The Roman soldiers had shoes embedded with nails so they would grip the ground to take their stand against the foe. Every advancing step we take in this spiritual war, our footing is planted firmly on the rock-solid promises of God. Reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus, we have peace with God and prepared for the gospel ministry.

PRAYER

You are Great Lord and greatly to be praised dear Lord Jesus. You are our God and none can be likened to You. We put on Your whole armor dear Lord Jesus that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We stand strong in You Lord and in Your power and might. We gird our waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. We take the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your word Lord Jesus. We declare today that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and no tongue raised against us shall prevail in Your name Jesus. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen
