THEME: GOD ANSWER’S PRAYERS

Matthew 6:6 NKJV

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

INSIGHT

Jesus taught extensively about prayer, encouraging believers to pray with faith and persistence. In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus continues to assure believers of His readiness to respond, to ask, and it will be given to us, seek, and we will find, knock and the door will be opened to us. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

SUMMARY

Prayer is a powerful communion system between ourselves and God and not only a communication model. God answers the prayers we have uttered and those we have not verbalized. Psalms 20:1-4 reminds us that God can see our hearts and can equally respond to our desires. Further, God accepts our sacrifices and fulfills our purpose. Our God answers the effective and fervent prayers of the righteous (James 5:16). Also, whoever offers praise glorifies God and to him who orders his conduct aright God will show Him His salvation (Psalms 50:23). God is not limited in time, resources, power and strength for He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. If we ask anything in His name, He answers (John 14:12-14). Jesus requires that we should always pray and not give up. Like the widow who persisted in prayer and she received her request, we are called to pray without ceasing and God will answer us (Luke 18:1-5). In 1 Samuel 1:10-20, we find Hannah, who was barren and prayed earnestly for a child. God answered her prayer, and she bore a son, Samuel, who would become a significant prophet in Israel.

PRAYER

We sing to You Lord a new song. We sing to You Lord, all the earth. We sing to You Lord and bless Your holy name. We proclaim Your good news of salvation day after day. We seek to dwell in Your secret place dear Lord Most High and abide under Your shadow. We declare that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that raises against us in judgement we shall condemn in Jesus name. May You dear Lord Jesus supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

Blessed Weekend
