“How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
INSIGHT
–At the end of the Babylonian exile, a message of hope was delivered to the Israelites by prophet Isaiah of their restoration. The people celebrate the joyful arrival of messengers bringing news of salvation, peace, and the restoration of God’s reign to Zion. In the New Testament context, the message represents the Gospel of Jesus Christ that gives us hope, joy, peace, renewed strength, salvation and eternal life.
PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus You are great and greatly to be praised. We sing of Your mercy Lord and Your faithfulness to all generations. Lord You are our salvation, we cry out to You day and night, hear our prayers dear Jesus. May You make our joy to be full and answer all our prayers and hearts desires. May You fill us afresh Holy Spirit with Your fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. May You make our joy to remain in us that our joy may be full. Amen
