John 16:8 NKJV

“And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”

INSIGHT

–Our precious Holy Spirit pierces our hearts with conviction of sin and gives us new life in Jesus Christ. He makes us born again not by good works but according to the mercy and grace of God and thus obtain His righteousness. Those who refuse to believe in Jesus Christ, bear the judgment that comes through sin and the penalty of everlasting condemnation that the devil has received eternally together with his angels. God has put His Spirit in us and we are called to follow His statutes. Since Christ purchased us at a price on the cross, our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit who dwells and lives in us. When one blasphemes the Holy Spirit there is no forgiveness (Matthew 12:30-32), since He tells us of the need of Christ in our lives leading to salvation. We are called to have faith in Jesus Christ and acknowledge Him as our Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit with indwell in us and teaches us all things.

PRAYER

Holy Spirit we love You. Thank You for dwelling with us this far and forevermore. Thank You for You convict us of sin, righteousness and judgment. May You draw us near to You for the glory of Jesus Christ our Friend. We are sorry for every time we have sinned and grieved You, may You forgive us and cleanse us from our sins and iniquities. May You create in us clean hearts and renew a steadfast Spirit within us. May You wash us with Your precious blood. May You look to us with Your mercy that we may inherit Your kingdom of heaven, together with our households and the whole world. May Your gift of salvation reach the unreached in the world. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen
