THEME: ENTER REST

Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”

INSIGHT

–Apostle Paul discusses on the value of entering rest by the grace and power of God. God requires that we remain committed to the course of faith while walking in obedience to His will.

SUMMARY

Rest for every believer is valuable given the dynamic nature of our Christian lives. We enter rest through provision of our needs by our God. Psalms 23:1-2 reminds us the LORD is our shepherd and we shall not want. He makes us to lie down in green pastures and leads us beside the still waters. The Lord assures us of rest for He is our rock and salvation, our defense and strength, our glory and refuge, and we shall not be moved (Psalms 62:5-7). The fiftieth year, the Jubilee was symbolic to demonstrate economic rest for the people would no longer sow nor reap what grows of its own accord, for it shall be holy and the people shall eat its produce from the field (Leviticus 25:11-12). The Lord calls us to come to Him, who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give us rest. To take His yoke upon us and learn from Him, for He is gentle and lowly in heart, and we will find rest for our souls. For His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father we thank You for Your goodness and mercy than follows us all the days of our lives. We appreciate Your mercies that are new each morning, great is Your faithfulness. We thank You for this far that You have brought us and the far that You are taking us. We thank You for You have enabled us and continue to allow us to enter rest this month by Your divine grace. We bless Your holy name. We are sorry for every sin and iniquity that we committed knowingly and unknowingly, willingly and unwillingly, May You forgive us and cleanse us with Your precious blood dear Lord Jesus. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen
