Acts 13:36 NKJV

“For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;”

INSIGHT
-David was anointed and became the king of Israel. Since he was a youth, he did exploits. He was not as built as his brothers, but he was just a rugged shepherd boy (1 Samuel 16). David was a man who relied on the Lord from a young age. From the moment He defeated Goliath with a sling and a stone all in the name of Jesus to the moment He rested. Even if the journey seemed hard because Saul sought after His life, David remained faithful to God and did not waver in His trust in God. At the end of it all God delivered David from the hand of Saul and gave him victory as he won all the battles set before him to a point that his son Solomon had a peaceful reign.

PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before Your throne of mercy today exalting You and worshipping You for there is none like You. We repent for all our sins and iniquities and ask that You may cleanse us by the blood of Jesus Christ. We thank You for we know that in You we are more than conquerors and we can do all things through You Christ who strengthens us. We thank You for You have called us and You already know the great future and plans You have for us. Thank You Jesus for You are so good and Your love and mercies endure forever. We love You and we pray that we shall serve You faithfully, that we shall always inquire from You and commit all our plans to You that You may prosper us. That we may walk in Your ways and do Your will always. We surrender all our lives to You. May You have Your way in us. We pray this believing and trusting in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
