THEME: THIRSTY FOR GOD
Psalms 42:1-2 NKJV
“As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”
INSIGHT
–The imagery of a deer panting for brooks of water, describes the desperate need that a thirsty deer seeks for water sources which may lead to starvation and eventually death. This symbolically illustrates a deep desire for the presence of God and communion with Him. It might be occasioned by spiritual drought given to busyness of life, prayer-lessness or sinful living.
PRAYER
Our souls bless You Lord God Almighty for You are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty. You cover Yourself with light as with a garment. You stretch out the heavens like a curtain. You lay the beams of Your upper chambers in the waters. You make the clouds Your chariot and walk on the wings of the wind, we bless Your name dear Lord Jesus. We wait on You Lord, our souls thirst for You. Your name is great above every other god, how great is Your name in all the heavens and the earth. May You fill our hearts with great testimonies this year, our souls thirst for You. May You make our joy full in You Lord. Amen
