Psalms 62:5-7 NKJV

“My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.”

INSIGHT

–King David often times observed that his ultimate vindication, honor, and safety rest securely in the Lord. When we are faced with trouble or crisis, true spiritual rest comes from recognizing God as the ultimate defender. Therefore, all that we expect or hope for must come from God. We are called to rely entirely on God and not on fellow men or our own strength, wealth or power. God alone should be our deliverer, and we are reminded to confidently believed that God would do it for us despite the situation. Often times we are in such circumstances that we feel that our only expectation and only hope is in God.

PRAYER

We love You LORD our God, our strength, our rock, our fortress, our deliverer and our strength, in You we put our trust. Lord You are our shield and the horn of our salvation, our stronghold, declare Your praises on high. We call upon Your name Oh Lord and God, who is worthy to be praised, save us from our enemies, merciful savior. We fully depend and rely upon You who is our All in all. May You show us Your ancient paths, Ancient of days. May You provide for all our needs and heal our diseases. May You bless us and keep us. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You shine Your countenance upon us and grant us rest. Amen
