Genesis 18:13-14
And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
INSIGHT
-In Hebrew, child is written as yeled & it means lad, young, babe, innocent, novice
-Sarah was filled with awe after she heard that she would bear a son. She laughs in doubt & delight in her heart not knowing the omnipotent nature of God. In Luke 1:18-20, Zacharia & Elizabeth were also advanced in age & he doubted angel Gabriels message that they would have a son.
-John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
PRAYER
We believe in You Father, for You are all powerful & great is Your faithfulness. Help all the barren women & those who think that their age wouldn’t allow them to get children. May they be fruitful at the appointed time. Increase our faith in all things. Amen
