THEME: FEAR OF THE LORD

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NKJV

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.”

INSIGHT

–The book of Ecclesiastes closes by a unique summary of what life is all about extending beyond present life to eternal realities. Our ultimate duty and fulfillment are in revering God, living in obedience to Him, and remembering that all deeds open and hidden will one day stand before His judgment. Sometime the judgment is pronounced in our daily lives and therefore the need for repentance and returning to God with a broken spirit and contrite heart that the Lord will never despise.

PRAYER

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness, according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. Blot out my transgressions merciful Savior, wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is always before me Oh Lord. For against You, You only, have I sinned, and done evil in Your sight that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Forgive us dear Lord and cleanse us with Your precious blood. May You remove every accusation against us in the courts of heaven and set us free completely together us families and generations. Whoever You set free dear Lord Jesus is free indeed. May You grant us the grace to fear You and always do what is right. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen
