THEME: DIVINE PROTECTION

Hebrews 13:6 NKJV

So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

INSIGHT

Our faith in God enables us to speak with courage, confidence, and without hesitation, knowing that God who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). Even though man can harm the body, reputation, or possessions, but cannot touch the believer’s eternal standing with God (Matthew 10:28). Even in persecution, the believer is secure in God’s ultimate protection.

SUMMARY

God is our Protector, and His Word offers us comfort, hope, and strength in times of need. When we face trials, we can turn to God, who is faithful, to establish us and guard us from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). God is our refuge and fortress, He delivers us from the snare of the fowler and perilous pestilence. He also covers us with His feathers, and under His wings we take refuge, and His truth shall always be our shield and buckler (Psalms 91:1-7). When we sought the Lord, He hears us and delivers us from all our fears (Psalms 34:1-5). As the Lord went before the Israelites by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so He also protects us and guides our paths (Exodus 13:21-22). Through God’s word, we are reminded of His promises of protection, His care upon us, and His power over evil. God provides us with peace and assurance that comes from trusting in Him and His word.

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, our Shield and Defender, we come before You today thanking You for being our Defense and Protection. In trust and confidence, we place our lives, families, communities, nation, the nation of Israel and all nations in Your hands. We take refuge under Your sovereign care, where we find safety and security. Lord You are our refuge and fortress; in You we find shelter from the storms of life. May You protect us from those who wish to harm us and shield us from harmful thoughts and the snares of the evil one. May Your presence be a wall of fire around us and let Your angels encamp around us. May You protect our coming in and going out together with our families. May You keep us safe from all accidents, diseases, and other forms of harm. Dear Lord Jesus, may You protect and guard our hearts from fear, anxiety, and despair. May You fill us with Your peace that surpasses all human understanding, and with the unwavering assurance of Your love and care. Lord You are our light and salvation; in whom shall we fear? Lord You are our strength of life; in whom shall we be afraid? May You our God of peace, sanctify us through and through body, soul and spirit and keep us blameless at Your coming dear Lord Jesus Christ. May You grant Your true salvation to us and all people dear merciful Savior. We surrender our lives to You, our families, marriages, businesses, future, ministries, legacy, influence, future unto You dear Jesus. Lord may You do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask of or think of according to the power that is at work in us. Lord we trust in You and exalt You. We believe that You are able to do more than we can think of or imagine. We believe that we shall be extremely fruitful since we abide in You and You in us. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in Your house forever. May You bless us and keep us loving Father, may You shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. May You lift up Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen

Blessed Weekend
