PURPOSE

Numbers 11:7-8 Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium. The people went about and gathered it, ground it on millstones or beat it in the mortar, cooked it in pans, and made cakes of it; and its taste was like the taste of pastry prepared with oil.

INSIGHT -In Hebrew, purpose is written as mah’an meaning goal, target, objective, intent, mission, design, destination. -The Israelites were given manner from heaven after their captivity in Egypt. -The manner had to be gathered, crashed, processed, cooked to make it edible so that it could taste like pastry. -God has a purpose for each one of us; which is His original design for our lives. -The purpose could be in education, profession, business, talent, gift etc. One might be on the wrong path in life, thus should ask for direction from the Lord.
-Purpose optimisation takes effort & hard work to get the intended objectives.

PRAYER: Abba Father, all good things comes from You. Give me my coriander seed & direct me on how to process it so that it tastes like pastry. Show me Your will for my life & enable me to accomplish it before my death. Holy Spirit, come into my heart to direct me in wisdom & understanding. Amen.

Genesis 2:5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground;

INSIGHT -Before the foundation of the earth were established, God had purposed man to till the ground. -In Gen 3:19, God told Adam that he will eat from his sweat until he dies. -God is the beginning & the end for he knows everything. He knew that Adam would be mandated to till the land. -In Prov 24:33-34, Solomon says with more sleep(laziness) comes poverty & need. -Our purpose is coupled with hardwork & toil with God’s guidance.

PRAYER: Jehovah Shammah, You know everything. You know what I was formed to do on earth. Direct me in Your will & give me strength as I toil. Let me not toil in vain & bless the work of my hands. This I pray believing & trusting in the Lord. Amen

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

INSIGHT -Apostle Paul affirms to us that if we love God as He commanded us, all things will work out according to His purpose. -God’s purpose is that we love Him with all our heart’s & do His will according to what is written in the Bible. -In Psalms 37:4-5, If we delight & commit ourselves in the Lord, He will give us our heart’s desires & bring all our needs to pass.

PRAYER: Lord my Father, I delight myself fully to You. I implore that You give me the desires of my heart & fulfil all my needs. Bring all my difficulties & needs to pass. All this for Your glory. Amen.

John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

INSIGHT -Jesus says that He chose us not the reverse. His purpose is that we bear fruit in our work, businesses, careers, families, interactions & deeds so that God may bless us for generations to come. -The fruit of love being the greatest should remain in us always so that we may know His will for us & live by it. -In John 3:16, God gave/sacrificed His son for our eternity. We should sacrifice for God, ourselves & others which will unlock the answers to our prayers.

PRAYER: Jesus my King, I love You with all my heart. Come into my heart to light the candle of Your divine love in me. You have chosen me, Lord to share Your love with family, friends, neighbours & the less fortunate. Disclose to me Your purpose in my life & may I bear much fruit. Let my fruit be a blessings to my family for many generations to come. Amen.

Galatians 4:6-7 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

INSIGHT -Apostle writes that we are sons in Christ who is in our hearts. If heirs of God we are free & no longer slaves through the death & resurrection of Christ. -God’s purpose for us is to till the land, do His will according to talents/coriander seeds we have received, to live in love for God & neighbours & finally to believe in Jesus; His son so that we may become sons & acquire eternal life.

PRAYER: Abba Father, thank You for your mercies & taking me through the week. Cleance my sins & make me Your son. I come to You in humility asking You to show me Your will in my life & bless the work of my hands. Come into my heart so that I may never thirst. Amen.
