Proverbs 18:10 NKJV
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.”
INSIGHT
–Freedom in Greek is written as eleutheria which means to liberate or set free from an adverse situation, slavery, injury etc. The name of the Lord is equal to His person since it expresses His nature and qualities. His name is powerful, and we are called to take refuge in it and in Him. Jesus took the keys of hades of death and He lives forever more (Revelation 1:18). At His name every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). We are called to run to the name of the Lord and find safety in every sphere of our lives.
PRAYER
We love You Lord our Strength and Shield. We run to Your name Jesus and find safety and peace for our souls. Jesus You are our Rock, Fortress and Deliverer, our Strength in whom we put our trust. You are our Shield and the horn of our Salvation, our Stronghold and Safety. We call upon Your name Lord for You are worthy to be praised, may You save us and liberate us from our enemies. May You set us free from the fowler’s snare and deadly pestilence. May You cover us with Your feathers so that we may find refuge under Your wings. We declare that no disaster shall come near our tents and no harm shall overtake us for You shall command Your angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways. May You rescue us and protect us from trouble. May You go ahead of our us to grant us peace and prosperity together with our families and nation, dear Lord Jesus. May You satisfy us with long life and show us Your salvation. Amen

Proverbs 13:22 NKJV
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.”
INSIGHT
-A man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children is a widely used phrase that outlines the value of leaving a worthwhile legacy or endowment to his family. Abraham left all he had to Isaac (Genesis 25:5). He was diligent in preparing a successor and instituting long-lasting values that brought blessing to his enterprise. Isaac turned out to be successful, and he prospered (Genesis 26:12). His children Jacob and Esau also became successful and wealthy (Genesis 33:11). A man therefore does good with his estate that guarantees his generations financial freedom by the grace of God, and takes the surest course to settle it upon his posterity for many generations. On the other hand, the one who engages in wasteful living like the prodigal son; sooner or later looses his inheritance (Luke 15:11-14). Further, if he acquires wealth acquired in a dishonest way, it dwindles away (Proverbs 13:11) and flies off like an eagle (Proverbs 23:5). Let us then ask the Lord for wisdom to enable us to use our financial resources prudently even as we give our tithes, invest, save and spend wisely. Also, ask the Lord to protect and preserve our resources as He covered Job with His hedge of fire and blessed the work of his hands (Job 1:10).
PRAYER
Praise the Lord oh my soul. I praise You Lord all my life and sing praise to my God as long as I live. Thank You dear Lord Jesus for this far that You have brought us and the far that You are taking us. We will not put our trust in wealth and finances, princes and human beings who cannot save but all our hope and trust is in You dear Lord Jesus our loving Savior. May Your favor Lord our God rest upon us and establish the work of our hands for us, yes Lord establish the work of our hands. May You grant us wisdom, peace and prosperity and help us to use our resources wisely. May You protect us, our families and resources from the devourer who comes to kill, steal and destroy. May You dear Lord Jesus cover us with Your precious blood and hedge of fire to keep us safe together with our loved ones. We honor You dear Lord Jesus and give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

Psalms 136:10-16 NKJV
“To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn, For His mercy endures forever; And brought out Israel from among them, For His mercy endures forever; With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever; And made Israel pass through the midst of it, For His mercy endures forever; But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who led His people through the wilderness, For His mercy endures forever;”
INSIGHT
–This is a Psalm of thanksgiving for the redemption of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. His mighty works were evidenced through Moses instructed to demonstrate God’s power through signs and wonders in Egypt among Pharaoh and all his servants, and the destruction of the firstborn men and beast in Egypt (Psalms 135:8-9). The Lord parted the Red sea to ensure Israelites deliverance and saved an entire nation. God uses His work through scriptural references to offer hope, faith, and confidence to us in our current state and future salvation. We are called to seek God and His help and deliverance from oppression by every neo-colonial and local masters.
PRAYER
We give thanks to You Lord for You are Good and Your mercies endures forever. You redeemed the Israelites from captivity in Egypt, Your mercies endures forever. Let the Redeemed of the Lord say, Your mercies endures forever. Lord may You redeem us and save us from the hand of our oppressors and enemies. May You liberate us and deliver us from corruption, poor governance, embezzlement of funds, western oppression and all evil vices that are geared towards destroying our nation and our people. We repent for every sin and iniquity committed in our nation, may You forgive us and cleanse us with Your precious blood. Lord may You save us and grant us rest in our nation. May You raise remnants that will take charge of this nation who will obey Your divine will and instructions. May You make a way dear Lord Jesus even where there seems to be no way. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen

Acts 9:1-6 NKJV
“Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
INSIGHT
–Saul before he was converted to Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ was a persecutor of God’s disciples. We find in the earlier chapter that he entered every house, and dragged off men and women, committing them to prison. Saul rebelled against God and the church suffered from his ruthlessness, even as he suffered oppression from the devil. He continued and expanded this work to the city of Damascus with the direct approval of the highest religious authorities, the high priest. Jesus appeared in bright light and convicted Saul, who was converted and became a staunch follower of Christ.
PRAYER
Dear Lord Jesus we come before You with thanksgiving in our hearts, we honor You and give You praise. We thank You for Your grace and mercy upon us. We humbly ask You to forgive us where we have gone astray and done that which is not pleasing to You. May You cleanse us and wash us with Your precious blood. We humbly request You to deliver all those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol, sexual immorality, gambling, and those who are persecuting Christian’s all over the world. May You deliver all persecuted Christian’s and set them free. We honor You Lord and give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

Acts 13:38-39 NIV
“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.”
INSIGHT
–Jesus Christ is available to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness prisoners through the power of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 61:1). Those who believe in Him have the same liberty from every every sin by the grace that has been released which is a gift from God lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Those who have been set free therefore have become slaves to God, and reap the benefit of holiness to Him resulting to eternal life (Romans 6:22).
SUMMARY
Freedom in Hebrew is written as padah which means to ransom, redeem or liberate. Its root word refers means to separate, deliver, ransom and bring to rest. Christians have freedom over sin and darkness when we follow Christ, for whoever the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). Saul was breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord and bound them in Jerusalem. Jesus appeared to him in Damascus and enlightened him that it is not the disciples that he is persecuting but Jesus Himself (Acts 9:1-6). Only the God can sets us free indeed. He delivered the children of Israel from captivity in Egypt by His outstretched arm, for His mercies endures forever (Psalms 136:10-16). His name is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). We are called to stand firm in the Lord and not indulge in the flesh but serve one another humbly in love which is a fulfillment of the law (Galatians 5:13-14).
PRAYER
Dear Abba Father, we come before Your presence this day with thanksgiving, honor and adoration in our hearts. Oh Lord we thank You for Your constant love and mercy that is new every morning and has covered us. We thank You for the gift of life and salvation. We praise You for all You have done for us and for this far You have brought us. We worship Your Holy and mighty Name for there is none like You. Father out of our distress we called on You our Lord and You answered us and set us free. Father, You have set us free from all chains of the enemy, sicknesses and all evils. Lord we declare Your freedom and liberty in our lives in all our matters and we decree that in Your name of Jesus we have been delivered from every works and chains of the enemy. We repent from all that has not pleased You and speak Your blood that cleanses and restores in our lives. We thank You for You have done it in Jesus name. May You bless us and keep us. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You show Your countenance unto us and give us peace. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen.
