Ephesians 1:11 “Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance.  Before we were even born, he... DIVINE DESTINY

Ephesians 1:11

“Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as his own inheritance.  Before we were even born, he gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in his heart”.

-Possessing God we are rich and have the blessing of our inheritance. There is nothing that is truly our wealth which remains outside of us, and can be separated from us. Therefore, through our spiritual blessings we have the divine privileges and resources available since we have been chosen, adopted, forgiven and justified by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Through His grace we realize and walk in the divine realm in which God’s kingdom purposes are fulfilled.

Almighty Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace today with thanksgiving in our hearts asking for Your grace and mercy to help us in times of need. Lord we need You in every area of our lives. We exalt and worship You for You have done us well. Thank You Lord for the divine destiny You have uniquely preplanned for each one of us. Psalm 16:5

Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands.

-Our lives are in God’s hands (Psalm 31:15). This is a psalm of David and by all means a pronouncement of submission to the will and mercies of the Lord. Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us that God knew us before we were conceived in our mothers wombs and set us apart to fulfill a specific destiny. Jeremiah was created for the work of prophecy and through this he called the nations to repentance and follow the will of God. God has a purpose and plan for each of us. Although many are the plans in our hearts but it is God’s will that prevails. As we begin the year, let us commit our plans unto the Lord and submit our destinies to Him, and He will surely grant us the grace to accomplish our mission.

Dear Holy and Mighty Father, we praise and worship You today for You are great and wonderful, and worthy of all our praises. You are Great and greatly to be praised. You are all that we need and our desire is found in You. We believe that whatever we ask in Your name You are able to do for us. You are able to save us and to fulfill our destinies which You have planned for us. Lord we commit our lives, families, friends, church, society and the whole nation unto You. We pray that You will grant all of us Your true salvation and that You will guide each one of us into the purpose for which You have created us. Then you will discover all that is just, proper, and fair, and be empowered to make the right decisions as you walk into your destiny.

-Our divine destinies cannot negate the contribution of man to ensure we achieve our godly ordained purposes. Even-though God has already outlined a plan and purpose for us, it is vital for us to take heed to His voice. God guides us through the scriptures, dreams and visions, His voice etc, so that we may be strengthened, guided and empowered to all that He has called us to do. It is through love for God and fellow men that we obtain our divine destinies.

Philippians 3:12-14

“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.

-Paul, a devoted minister of God was committed to press on towards his goal attain that which Christ laid for him.  He knew that God had a purpose for his life especially after his encounter with Jesus as he persecuted Christians (Acts 9:1-9). Like Paul, we lead our lives with eyes on the blessed hope and the release of our divine destinies. Our lives are filled with destiny seeds, waiting for the rain of the Spirit to fall on us to cause them to grow and be fulfilled. This rain must be falling on us daily for what we carry to be accomplish on earth by the grace of God.

Destiny in Hebrew is written as meni and it means ones vocation, assignment, fate or mission. Our divine destiny is the reason for our existence. To attain our divine destinies we need to be converted like Paul and the prodigal son. Paul a persecutor of Christians encountered Jesus powerfully while on his way to Damascus and he trembled. Jesus revealed to Paul that he was not just Christians but Christ himself. The first step to achieve our divinely ordained destinies is therefore to accept Christ in our hearts and know Him personally, that we may belong to Him. This is the precious gift of salvation that Christ gives us free of charge. The free gift is like the transgression, for it is by the transgression of one that many died and much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many (Romans 5:15). The prodigal was lost and away from the kingdom of God. He suffered without God and ate with pigs but by God’s grace he was accepted by his father. If we have the gift of salvation we have the Spirit of God in us, who bears with us witness that we are children of God (Romans 8:16). If we are children, then we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, and if we suffer with Him we shall be glorifies together with Him (Romans 8:17). The sufferings of this present time cannot be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us (Romans 8:18, 2 Corinthians 4:8-18). There is always a wave of opposition by the devil to distrust us from our divine purposes. His mission is to steal our destinies, to kill our purpose and to destroy the path to our successful completion of our Godly ordained mandates (John 10:10). Even-though this happens to hinder us from attaining our goals, we have hope in Jesus Christ who come to give us life in abundance. Jesus lay His life down for us because of His unfailing love that we may walk according to His will and achieve all that He has called us to do. God has good thoughts for us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, plans to give us a hope and a future. Jesus calls us to rely on Him in every area of our lives that we may find peace, grace and victory to run our races to the end.

Oh Heavenly Father, we worship You today and Praise You. All thanks be unto You oh God for You give us victory through our Lord Jesus. Oh Lord You lead us in triumph in Christ and manifest Your sweet aroma of Your knowledge in every place. Dear Lord we praise You fir You have done us well and You keep doing us good. We thank You Lord. Father, today we pray that You will guide us and direct us to Your victory and to the fulfillment of our destinies. May You provide all that we require to fulfill the plan and destinies You have already preplanned for us. May You connect us with our destiny connectors that will walk with us in the path to our purposes. We pray that we will always put our full trust in You, for You are more than able. May You give us divine understanding of our purposes and destinies. We pray that You will help us to live in peace love and unity with our people and families. May You protect us as we strive to fulfill our divine destinies. We commit our families, friends and community to You, may You heal those that are sick and strengthen them. May You provide all their needs and protect them in all they do and everywhere they go. We thank You and trust in You that You have heard us. We pray this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
