THEME: GENERATIONAL BLESSINGS
Acts 16:31-33 NKJV
“So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.”
INSIGHT
–Paul and Silas came to the city of Thyatira when they were confronted by a slave girl possessed by the spirit of divination, who brought a lot of profit to their masters by fortune-tellings. Then Paul rebuked her and the girl could no longer bring profit to the masters, and they were jailed. At midnight when Paul and Silas worshipped and prayed to God, the chains of all the prisoners were loosed and prison doors opened. The jailer was afraid and almost committed suicide when Paul and Silas preached to him and his entire household, they were baptized and saved. When we believe in Jesus Christ together with our generations, we receive the gift of eternal life.
