Psalms 20:1-5 NKJV
“May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion; May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.”
INSIGHT
–God is our ever present help in trouble. He is a fire and shield at the same time to offer us protection and preservation. He gives us grace and glory and withholds nothing good from those who walk uprightly (Psalms 84:11). God has promised to fulfill our hearts desires and answer our prayers so we must trust in Him and walk in His ways.
PRAYER
How lovely is Your tabernacle, O Lord of hosts. My soul longs, yes, even faints for Your courts. My heart and my flesh cry out for You our living God. Even the sparrow has found a home and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young. Even Your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house, they will still be praising You. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in Your house Oh God than dwell in the tents of wickedness, help us and save us Oh dear Jesus by Your saving grace. May You hear all our petitions and answer our hearts desires. Lord You are my shepherd, I shall not want. You makes me to lie down in green pastures; You lead me beside the still waters. You restore my soul, You lead me in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in Your house of the Lord forever and ever. Amen
