THEME: VALUE OF THANKGIVING

Luke 17:15-19 NKJV

“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

INSIGHT

-The parable of the ten lepers describes the human nature of ungratefulness. The ten lepers exhibited faith by following Jesus’ instructions and showing themselves to the priest. One would question and ask why do that instead of being offered instant healing? Often times, faith is exercised to yield the desired results. Unfortunately, the majority did not care to go back to give thanks. Only one Samaritan, offered thanksgiving which was a great sign of faith, and he was made whole.

May You grant us hearts of gratitude in seeking Your wholeheartedly. We humbly ask that You increase our faith that we may hear You and follow You unresearvedly. All our prayers and hearts desires we place them under Your care knowing that You have never left us orphaned or abandoned us.
