THEME: VALUE OF THANKSGIVING

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

INSIGHT

–Thanksgiving should be mirrored on the goodness of God, since not everything or everyone is good. Thanksgiving is reflective on our faith, believing that God works everything for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Gratitude in trials shows maturity and trust that God remains Sovereign and it gives us peace and serenity amidst trials. Thanksgiving then turns hardship into worship and transforms anxiety into peace that only comes from God.

PRAYER

Sovereign Lord You are worthy, we love You. Thank You for loving us first. Thank You for enabling us to begin a new week in peace, may Your peace continually overcome every storm of stress, anxiety and uncertainties of life. We thank You for all You have done and are doing in our lives. You have been a faithful God all through the year from January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and now we are in November. Thank You for all the months You have taken us through, healed us when we were unwell, provided for us when we lacked. May You heal all those who are sick, suffering, oppressed and depressed Jehovah Rapha. Oh Lord, You have fought for us great battles and delivered us from the snares and traps of the enemy. Thank You Lord for this far that You brought us and the far that You are taking us. You have done so much for us that we cannot count it all and not even words and tongues would tell it all. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen
