THEME: DIVINE DESTINY
Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands.
-Our lives are in God’s hands (Psalm 31:15). This is a psalm of David and by all means a pronouncement of submission to the will and mercies of the Lord. Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us that God knew us before we were conceived in our mothers wombs and set us apart to fulfill a specific destiny. Jeremiah was created for the work of prophecy and through this he called the nations to repentance and follow the will of God. God has a purpose and plan for each of us. Although many are the plans in our hearts but it is God’s will that prevails. As we begin the year, let us commit our plans unto the Lord and submit our destinies to Him, and He will surely grant us the grace to accomplish our mission.
Dear Holy and Mighty Father, we praise and worship You today for You are great and wonderful, and worthy of all our praises. You are Great and greatly to be praised. You are faithful in all Your ways, and marvelous in Your works. Thank You dear Lord for this far You have brought us and the far You are taking us. You have promised us that our destiny and our timings are in Your hands, we surrender all to You merciful Savior. You have promised to guide and direct our life for the steps of the righteous man are ordered by You Lord our God. Lord You have good plans for us and You knew us even before we were formed in our mother’s womb. We choose today to put our trust in You for You are our portion, our pleasure and our great reward. You are all that we need and our desire is found in You. We believe that whatever we ask in Your name You are able to do for us. You are able to save us and to fulfill our destinies which You have planned for us. Lord we commit our lives, families, friends, church, society and the whole nation unto You. We pray that You will grant all of us Your true salvation and that You will guide each one of us into the purpose for which You have created us. May You forgive us all our trespasses as we forgive all those who trespass against us. Your grace is sufficient for us, may Your grace abound in us that we may achieve our purposes according to Your will. We thank You and honor You Lord. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
