2 Corinthians 5:5

“Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come”.

-God has an eternal plan for our lives founded on love. He loved us so much that He gave us His only begotten Son that we may believe in Him and have eternal life. Sometimes we try to look for love from other people, things, work, money, wealth and power but we don’t seem to find it. We are called to rely on God’s love, for us His love is unconditional and nothing can separate us from His love. Other times we face tribulations and challenges, trouble and hardship, famine and nakedness, danger and sword, but God’s love for us still stands. God has a good plan for our lives and has given us His Holy Spirit that we may always dwell in love, for God is love. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Helper, Counselor, Strengthener and He intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered. He is our deposit, guaranteeing that we have eternal life through Christ Jesus. If He raised Jesus from the dead, He will also raise us from the dead even if we sleep, and this is the sure hope of our faith in Him.

God’s plans for our lives are perfect and eternal. First we see that, God has a predestined will or plan for our lives which is irresistible, unchangeable and unconditional. God knew about us before we were born and His will for us cannot be changed. We see the birth of Jesus, for instance; which was predestined before the foundations of the world. God foreknew us, predestined us to be conformed to the image of His Son Jesus Christ, called us, justified us and glorified our spirits as we await the final glorification of our bodies during Christ’s second coming. Secondly, God also has a moral will for us. He does not want anyone to perish but all to come to repentance. He is not slack in His promises but long-suffering and His love for us endures forever. Thirdly, God has a desired will for our lives. He desires that we all come to know Him and have faith in Him through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He calls us to put all our trust in Him for all things works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose. God also desires that we are baptized, we receive the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit, we forgive one another, we pray about everything, we praise Him in spirit and in truth etc. God’s desired will encompasses all of our lives. Lastly, God has an eternal plan for our lives. He loved us so much that He gave us His only begotten Son that we may believe in Him and have eternal life. His salvation plan is founded on love and He calls us to love Him and our neighbors as ourselves. Through His eternal covenant He has made us complete in every good work that we may always do His will and be pleasing in His sight. We know that all things work for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Let us not grow weary in our walk with God or doubt His power in our lives but always trust in Him for He is our Rock and Salvation. Other things may perish but His love and promises for us will always stand. Our own plans may fail but His purpose for our lives will come to pass. Let us always remember that God has good plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future.

Thank You Holy Spirit for dwelling with us and in us. Thank You for comforting us, helping us, interceding for us, strengthening us and guiding us in all Your plans. Thank You for this far that You have taken us and the far that Your are taking us. Thank You for Your fruit and gifts upon our lives, lead us in all things. Thank You Jesus for loving us and for Your sacrifice on the cross for the sins of the world. Forgive us all merciful Father, and remember our sins no more. We boldly come to Your throne of grace Jesus that we may find mercy and grace to help us in times of need. Thank You for Your love and mercy upon us. Shepherd us according to Your plans everlasting Father we humbly ask You. Our plans may come to nothing but Your plans will always prevail. You have said in Your word that Your foolishness is wiser than human wisdom and Your weakness is stronger than human strength. We are nothing without You Father and can do nothing without You, all our hope and trust is in You. We believe that all Your promises in our lives will come to pass at Your appointed time, all our hope and trust is in You Jesus. We thank You Jesus, we praise Your holy name. May Your precious blood protect us always from every form of disease and evil plan, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Your plans are perfect in our lives, we praise You and glorify Your holy name. Bless all the married couples and cement them with Your love. Be with all those who are waiting on You for marriage that Your perfect will may be done in their lives. Guide all those who have faced separation or divorce that You may shepherd them according to Your merciful love. We love You Jesus and bless Your holy name, now and forever. Thank You for Your eternal love upon our lives. Amen
