Theme: STRANGER

Matthew 25:37-40

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

INSIGHT

-3 John 1:5, Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers

-John echoes Jesus’ statement that we should not discriminate against one another on basis of race, religion etc, for whatever we do to the least on Christs’ brethren, we do it unto Him & this criteria will be used to judge the nation’s.

SUMMARY

-Gershom, Moses first born son means “I have been a stranger in a foreign land”/when strangers became rich & brethren became their slave, they would be released in the year of Jubilee if all redemption options failed/ the Lord watches over strangers & the oppressed/ Those who follow Christ know His voice & will flee from strangers

PRAYER

Rekindle our love for You & for one another Father, that we may seek Your Kingdom first. Give us a heart of generosity that we may always do good to the least of Your brethren. Forgive us all our sins as we forgive those who offend us. May we hear Your voice & do as You please always through Your mercy. Amen

Our Father who at in heaven, hallowed be Your name…

Blessed Weekend.
