THEME: BELIEVE IN GOD

Jeremiah 17:5-8 NKJV

“Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”

INSIGHT

–Trusting and believing in God releases His blessings upon us. Those who trust in human kind apart from God are cursed. Their portion is dwelling in the wilderness and desert like shrubs. Those who trust in God are blessed. They shall rely of the Shepherd who provides green pastures, He guides us beside still waters, leads us in paths of righteousness for His name sake and protects us from all evil.  

PRAYER

We sing of Your power and Your mercy in the morning and evening. Lord You are our Defense and Refuge in the day of trouble. We sing praises to You Lord for You are our Defense our God full of mercy. We who trust in You Lord are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved but abides forever. We shall never be moved but will remain steadfast. We are confident that You will forever provide for us, protect us, sustain us and we shall experience an overflow. We shall never lack any good think for You are Good Shepherd. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of my lives and we shall dwell in Your house Lord forever. Amen
