THEME: MOUNT HOREB

Exodus 3:1-2 NKJV

“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.”

INSIGHT

–Mount Horeb is often called the mountain of God. Moses among other servants of God encountered God in a special way at the mountain. Moses came across a burning bush which was very interesting since it was not really burning and the Angel of the Lord therein. Moses was instructed to remove his sandals for the place where he was standing was holy ground and also given his assignment to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Mount Horeb is symbolic to a place of fellowship with God where we receive divine instructions and directions.

PRAYER

Who may ascend into Your hill Oh Lord or who may stand in Your holy place. The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to idols nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from You Lord and righteousness from You God of our salvation. Dear Lord Jesus may You cleanse our hearts, our hands, and sanctify us whole spirit, soul and body, and preserve us blameless at Your second coming. We praise You Lord and give thanks to You for You are good and Your mercies endures forever, may You heal all those who are sick and suffering, and cover us with Your precious blood. May You remember us with favor and visit us with Your salvation that we may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, accomplish Your purposes for us and glory with Your inheritance. Amen
