THEME: HORN OF THE LORD

Luke 1:67-75 NKJV

“Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying: “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people, And has raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of His servant David, As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, Who have been since the world began, That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us, To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.”

INSIGHT

–Filled with the Holy Spirit, Zechariah’s song begins with words of praise from the psalms. Zechariah’s prophecy of the Messiah and the role of John the Baptist also known as the Benedictus. Zechariah praises God for visiting and redeeming His people, emphasizing God’s mercy and faithfulness to the covenant with Abraham. The prophecy highlights and re-emphasizes God’s deliverance from enemies as our Horn of salvation, God’s faithfulness, God’s salvation and His peace and these are the graces that Jesus is releasing unto us during this season of Easter, as celebrate Jesus dead, resurrection and triumph granting us His gift of salvation to all mankind.

PRAYER

Abba Father we thank You and honor You, we give You all the adoration and honor. You are our Good God and none can be likened to You, none can be compared to You. Thank You for You died and resurrected for the sake of all mankind. Thank You for the purposes and plans that You have for us, to give us hope and a future. Thank You for Your goodness and mercy upon us. May this season of Easter revive and resurrect our faith and hope in You Lord Jesus. May You grant peace and salvation to all of us Your children in every challenge and shortcoming. May You heal every heart and infirmity for by Your stripes we are healed. You are great and mighty God, You are awesome in wonder. We worship You and we give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
