THEME: PATIENCE PAYS

Psalms 40:1-4 NKJV

“I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”

INSIGHT

-David recounts the benefits that he received from waiting on the Lord. David was rescued from the dominion of the enemy. Believers are evidently redeemed from the dominion of sin and satan when we trust in God. David received spontaneous praise, a new song that comes from our God. Believers receive heartfelt worship and testimony that is ignited by deliverance. We are called to hope in Christ and His deliverance, trust and offer encouragement to remain steadfast in faith regardless of life’s challenges.
