Acts 13:36 NIV

Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.”

David trusted in the Lord and had firm faith in God. In his Psalm 56:11, he asks, “In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” He placed his complete hope and faith in God even when he was confronted by his enemies and faced by many troubles. David had great faith in God and was courageous enough to face the Philistine giant Goliath. 1 Samuel 17:47 says that, “Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.” David trusted in God and His mighty power and he became victorious in war and his endeavors. When king Saul pursued him and his intention was to kill him even as the Holy Spirit filled David and left Saul (1 Samuel 16:13-14). David knew that when he draws near to God in obedience and humility, he will be lifted up and will be able to complete his course. David was a man after God’s own heart. We are called to submit to God and be at peace with Him and we will enjoy prosperity (Job 22:21).

Dear Lord Jesus we thank You for this beautiful day that You have created. You have created the skies and the birds. You have created the sun and the skies. You have formed the trees and the mountains. You have created the animals and sea creatures. All creation praises You, let all creation lift Your name high. We exalt You Lord Jesus and bless Your name for this far that You have brought us. You have been our Lord and Shield for the past six months of this year, and we trust that You shall surely be with us for the remain part of the year. May You increase our faith in You dear Lord Jesus Christ. We trust in You Lord Jesus, we believe in You alone. Upon You only do we place our faith, Jesus Christ our foundation and shield. We declare that we shall always have faith in You and not in our leaders, wealth, positions, strength and wisdom. May You protect our youth and all people even as they go to the street today dear loving Savior. May You shield them with Your precious blood dear Lord Jesus. May Your mercy be upon our nation and save us from our troubles. We destroy every foundation that is ungodly in this nation and speak breakthrough and peace upon our nation. We declare that we shall be prosperous and many other nations will call us blessed. We declare that we shall lend to many nations and borrow from none. We declare that provision is our portion and Lord we know that You shall supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory. We declare that we shall live according to Your divine purposes. We declare and decree that Your purposes for our nation Kenya shall come to pass at Your appointed time. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen
