THEME: EASTER SEASON

John 12:23-28 NKJV

But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”

INSIGHT

-The death and resurrection of Jesus brought glory to God the Father. The baptism of Jesus brought glory to Him as a voice from heaven declared saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17). During the transfiguration Jesus was also glorified, and the same message was proclaimed, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (Matthew 17:5). When Jesus had finished His work on earth He said, “O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.“ (John 17:5). We should therefore desire to bring glory to God with our praises, lives, thoughts, conduct, work, purposes and everything that concerns us. For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen (Romans 11:36).

PRAYER

Holy, holy, Holy are You the Lord God of hosts; the whole earth is full of Your glory. Lord Jesus You are the same yesterday, today and forever. May You increase our faith and help us to keep it until Your coming. May You help us to finish our course and fight the good fight. We look to You Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith that our faith may never fail, but we may remain steadfast in You and run the race set before us with endurance. Help us dear Lord Jesus not to be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is good, acceptable and perfect will of God. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forever more. Amen
