Philippians 2:1-5 NIV

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:“

Christ unites us in the Christian faith as one in Him. For we are one body with Christ yet different parts with diverse gifts that form the church (1 Corinthians 12:12-31). Having faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit unites us to one another with love. The fruit of love precipitates joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self control. We are then called to be completely humble and gentle, patient and bearing each other with love (Ephesians 4:2).

Unity is strength. The ant though a tiny insect they unite together and gain the capacity to lift objects 10 to 50 times heavier than their own weight. They have no captain nor ruler yet are able to collaborate and gather food during harvest and have sufficient for summer (Proverbs 6:7-8). Whenever people unite as one, whatever they decide to do will be withheld from them (Genesis 11:6). God gives us unity of mind to carry out what the leaders in authority propose and obey His word as king Hezekiah did (2 Chronicles 30:12). God also grantsbelievers unity of heart and mind and enables them to offer their possessions  and shared with the less fortunate as He did with the early church (Acts 4:32). God also calls us to unite in prayer for whenever two or three gather in His name is is there with us (Matthew 18:19-20). God Himself in One though present in a Triune nature, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As we unite in Christian faith we are one with Christ and called to love one another. If the we have been united with Him in a death like His, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like His (Romans 6:5).

Almighty Heavenly Father, we humble ourselves before Your Majesty oh King of Kings. We say that You are highly exalted and magnified above all. May You receive all glory, honor and power. Father we pray that You shall unite us by Your precious blood Lord Jesus and by Your Holy Spirit. May You bind us together with cords of love that can never be broken oh Lord and fill us with Your wonderful love for each other. Father just as You are one with the Son Lord Jesus and with the Holy Spirit, may You make us one with each other and with You oh Lord. We repent for all the sins that we have done that have separate us from You. May You purify us and cleanse us. We pray that where we have not had love for each other, You may forgive us and purify our hearts and make us one with each other full of the love of Christ. We trust in You oh Lord and we below that You shall do this for us. We thank You for hearing us and we know You shall answer us. We thank You for this far and all You have done for us. Thank You Holy Spirit for Your guidance and infilling. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving us and becoming the Lord and King over our lives. Thank You Father. May You bless us and keep us. May You shine Your face towards us and be gracious unto us. May You show Your countenance unto us and grant us peace. We pray this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
