Revelation of the Word:
Revelation of the Word 18/12/2023 Admin
THEME: ENJOYMENT
1 Timothy 6:17-18 NIV
”Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.“
INSIGHT
-Enjoy in Greek is apolauó which means to find pleasure, comfort, joy, satisfaction in something or someone. Paul exhorts Timothy to command those who are rich to put their trust in God the giver of all things, and not in their wealth. To also consider those who are needy in the society and provide for their needs according to their abilities and God’s leading. During this season of Christmas as we enjoy and make merry with our families and friends, let us not forget those who are poor and needy amongst us.
PRAYER
Almighty Heavenly Father we come before this day with thanksgiving and adoration in our hearts. We thank You for all You have done and given us. We bless Your Name for Your protection, provision and Your abounding mercies and love. Thank You Lord for blessing us with all spiritual and material blessings. Father we humbly ask that You may forgive us for all the sins and iniquities we have done said and thought. Even where we have been selfish and mean with our possessions. May You forgive us and wash with Your blood of Jesus. Father may You teach us how to share with those who do not have and who are needy in the society. Jehovah Jireh, we also pray that You may provide for those in need and who lack in society including all the street children and families. We humbly pray that during this holiday and festive season we may experience more of Your provision and none shall lack. May You supply for all our needs according to Your riches in glory. Thank You all for we know that You have already provided and that You have heard us. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
