Psalms 95:1-3 NKJV
“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, And the great King above all gods.”
-This is a Psalm of David, and a call to worship the Lord, by the priests or Levites to the assembled Israelites at the temple. With thanksgiving, our worship should express hearts filled with gratitude to our God, who has done so much for us. Thanksgiving should be done with a conscious sense of God’s presence, as the Rock of our salvation.
We shout for joy to You Lord our God. We worship You with gladness; and come before You with joyful songs. Lord You are God, the Rock of our salvation. It is You who made us, and we are Yours Lord. We are Your people, the sheep of Your pasture. We enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. We give thanks to You and praise Your name, for You are good and Your love endures forever and Your faithfulness continues through all generations. May Your everlasting mercy and grace of thanksgiving fill our hearts, marriages, families, churches, societies and nation. Amen
