Genesis 41:13-14 And it came to pass, just as he interpreted for us, so it happened. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.” Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.

INSIGHT: -In Hebrew, restore is written as arukah & it means reproduce, recapture, return, repay, recover, reply, blow, rehabilitate, re-educate, reestablish, reconstruct

-Pharaoh had a dream which no one could interprete & his chief butler remembered his faults by which he was restored when Joseph interpreted his dream two years back. Joseph’s freedom was restored & was made second in command over all Egypt.

-John 8:36, Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

PRAYER: Thank You Father, for making us see this day. We worship You & praise You for Your everlasting mercies upon us. Have mercy on us & restore us to a point of freedom from the challenges or needs in our lives. Amen

Ezra 6:5 Also let the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple which is in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon, be restored and taken back to the temple which is in Jerusalem, each to its place; and deposit them in the house of God”—

INSIGHT: -Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away the Israelites & the treasures of Gods’ temple in Jerusalem to his gods temple in Babylon. King Cyrus in collaboration with king Darius & Artaxerxes rebuilt the temple & brought back it’s treasures according to the prophecies of Haggai & Zechariah.

-Thus they restored worship of God in Jerusalem, by which later in the New Testament we see that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER: Lord our Father, Restore our hearts to always yearn for You even when we feel lazy & uplift our spirits to praise & hear from You. Create in us a clean heart, O Lord, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Do not cast us away from Your presence & do not take Your Holy Spirit from us. Always be with us, Your children. Amen

Psalm 80:19 Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!

INSIGHT: -Psalm 145:8-9, The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.

PRAYER: We humbly implore You Lord our Father, asking You for pardon & mercy. Hear our prayers & supplications today, Father & restore our hearts to You. Shine Your face upon us & save us. Amen

Galatians 6:1-5 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load.

INSIGHT: -Apostle Paul writes we should show kindness & sympathy to one another. Having the spirit of humility, forgiveness, mutual forbearance & support for one another.

-In Luke 18:11-14, the pharisee justified himself in prayer while the tax collector asked for mercy & was justified, for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled & he who humbles himself will be exalted.

PRAYER: We humbly come before You Father, asking for mercy & forgiveness. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from all evil. Guide us in giving & showing support for one another. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen

Luke 6:9-11 Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?” And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.

INSIGHT -Jesus was more concerned on acts of grace as He does today & healed the poor man on sabbath.

SUMMARY: Pharaohs butler & Joseph were restored to freedom from prison/ King Cyrus restored the Jerusalem temple treasures which king Nebuchadnezzar took to the Babylonian temple/ The Lord is full of mercy & restores us to Him when we seek His face/ we should all be humble disregardless of our spiritual restoration levels
