ANGEL

Genesis 16:7-8 Now the Angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. And He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”

INSIGHT -In Hebrew, angel is written as malak & it means envoy, cherub, seraph, messenger. -Sarai dealt harshly with Hagar & she fled from her presence. The Lord heard her affliction/prayer & rescued her by the help of His angel. The angel gave her the message that she will be restored back to her family, her descendants will be blessed exceedingly & that she will bear a son; Ismail.

PRAYER: As we bring our petitions to You; Father, hear us. In all our afflictions & tribulations; help us & restore peace in our lives, families & nations. Amen

Psalm 91:11-12 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

INSIGHT -Mat 4:6, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” -Jesus was tempted by satan; by a truth in the bible but Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”

PRAYER: Keep us in all our ways, Jesus, so that we may not go astray. We praise You & magnify Your holy name forever. Amen

Hebrews 1:13-14 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

INSIGHT -All angels were created by God to minister to all who will inherit salvation, who are essentially under authority of Christ.
-We have different kinds of angels with varied functions & power. They include: – seraphim, cherubim, archangels, guardian angels etc.

PRAYER: We thank You Lord Jesus for all created things, which are perfect in nature. We give You all glory, honor, praise & proclaim that all power, wisdom & strength belong to You Oh Lord; forever & ever. Amen

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

INSIGHT -Daniel in his vision saw an open heaven. He fell at an angels feet to worship him, but the angel mentioned that he was his fellow servant & he should only worship God. -Col 2:18, Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

PRAYER: May we always be lead by You, Lord in true worship, that deception may not take part in our hearts. Guide us in all things so that we may not fall trap into false prophecies. Amen

Luke 15:8-10 “Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp, sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I lost!’ Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

INSIGHT -Jesus explains the parable of the lost coin. In an artshell He reveals that; when we repent of our sins there is much rejoicing among the angels in heaven. Through repentance we change our mentality towards sins, we reconcile with God & understand the purpose of Christ’s death & resurrection. -Angels are messengers of God/ Angels are sent to us in times of distress & keep us in all our ways/ Angels minister to those who will inherit salvation & are under authority of Christ/ We are not supposed to worship angels

PRAYER: Forgive us all our sins, Father & renew our minds so that we may prove Your good, acceptable & perfect will. Holy Spirit our Helper, minister to us in all things. Lead us to understand the impact of angels in our lives. Give us the gift of discernment & wisdom so that we may always hear from You. Amen
