Psalms 23:1-2 NKJV

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.”

INSIGHT

–Our God is our Shepherd, who offers us provision for us His sheep in the green pastures and ensures that we are not lacking in anything. As a Shepherd the Lord offers safety, protection and guidance besides still and restful waters. At Goshen, the Lord provided rest for His children through Joseph the prime minister of Egypt. In Genesis 45:10-11 he says, “You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine.”

PRAYER

Abba Father we thank You for Your blessings upon our lives. Thank You for this far that You brought us and the far that You are taking us. Thank You for loving us and taking good care of us. Dear Lord Jesus You are our good Shepherd; we shall not lack anything. Dear God You give Your life for us Your sheep, we give You thanks and praise. You have called us to be still and rest in You Lord, for You are our Father, our Provider, Protector, Sustainer and Guide, may You Shepherd us in all our ways that we shall not lack any good thing. We wait on You patiently and lean upon You, for You are our anchor and source. Thank You for forgiving our sins and redeeming us. May You cleanse us from all iniquities and help us to conform to Your will. We worship You and give You praise, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
