THEME: GOD GIVES VICTORY

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 NKJV

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. ”

INSIGHT

–Victory comes from God. He orchestrates our victory so that the world can see and praise our Lord God. When we are victorious and the world sees and it becomes a tool for evangelism to the world as they become more curious in how we became victorious and therefore we have a chance even without words or action, to spread the knowledge of Christ. Being victorious in Christ is a sign that we are fruitful in Christ and thus we are known by our fruit and results. We reveal that we serve an able God and a victorious God. The Bible says that Christ diffuses His knowledge everywhere  through us being victorious in Him. The knowledge of God is described as a fragrance showing that it is something sweet to be around in and fond of. Hence, when we are victorious in Christ, many will want to come closer to us thus they will see our lives as a reflection of Christ. If our lives are as a reflection of Christ then automatically we become more fruitful and victorious in Christ. We are the branches and the only way a branch bears fruit is if it stays with the vine. The vine here is Christ. When we are in the Lord, we will bear much fruit in the world and many will see and praise the name of the Lord Jesus. We live in the world but we are not of the world instead we are the fragrance and ambassadors of Christ. We represent Christ with our lives to those who are perishing hence we must always endeavour to show the fruitful, victorious nature of Christ in us. He has called us for great exploits and we must heed to His call and never be ashamed of being the head and being victorious. We must then dwell in Christ and have a good relationship with Him. We can do this by surrendering our lives to Christ, by prayer, praising and worshipping Him more and also by living a life of faith and total obedience to Christ Jesus. Let us therefore let go of all unbelief, sin that weighs us down and easily besets us and forge forward in Christ Jesus our Lord.

PRAYER

Dear Lord God, we thank You for Your faithfulness and mercies in our lives. We thank You for loving us and choosing us for Your own to be Your children and ambassadors in this world. Thank You that even though we are in the world, we are not of the world. We walk in signs, wonders and exploits. Thank You for You have made and lead us to victory through Christ Jesus. We surrender ourselves to be used by You in every step of our lives. May You work in us to do Your great deeds that many may see and praise You oh Lord. May You teach us how to war and be victorious and teach our hands how to make wealth and be victorious as well. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ask of or imagine according to the power that works in us. May You increase this power in us oh precious Holy Spirit. We repent of every sin and unbelief. May You cleanse us by Your precious blood. We thank You for hearing us and we believe that You shall lead us to triumph in You Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.  In Jesus Mighty Name we pray, Amen.
