THEME: DELIGHT IN THE LORD

Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

INSIGHT

–Delighting in the Lord requires having sure confidence in Him, His fidelity, truth, wisdom, promises, provision, protection, care, healing etc leading to diligence in petitioning Him. For instance; it is impossible for a child to please his father unless he has confidence in him. It is impossible for a wife to please her husband, or a husband to a wife, unless they have confidence in each other. It is impossible to please a friend unless one has confidence in them to believe their declarations and promises. The same thing is true of God; we cannot please God unless we have firm confidence in Him.

PRAYER

Dear LORD Jesus we dwell in Your shelter and rest in Your shadow. You are our refuge and fortress, our God, in whom we put all our trust, for You save us from the fowler’s snare and deadly pestilence. You cover us with Your feathers, and under Your wings we will find refuge, Your faithfulness will be our shield and rampart. We fear no terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. We shall not fear for You are with us, we shall not be dismayed, for You are with us. You strengthen us and help us, and uphold us with Your righteous right hand. Only in You dear LORD Jesus can we do all things for You strength and help us, we delight ourselves through faith and by Your grace. May You heal all those who sick and suffering among us. May You provide for all those who are in lack. May You protect us from all evil and cover us with Your hedge of fire, bless the work of our hands and make us to prosper and increase in the land dear LORD Jesus. Our Father who art in heaven; hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from evil; for thine is the Kingdom the power and the glory; forever and ever. Amen
