THEME: DELIGHT IN THE LORD

Psalms 37:3-5 NKJV

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”

INSIGHT

–Delight in Hebrew is written as Anag while Chara in Greek and it means to have profound gladness that blooms from an active relationship with God. It also means to rejoice in God’s grace or to have ultimate satisfaction in God’s presence. Further, it implies to endeavor to do good, and if others are doing evil, we should do good; if they are wicked, we cannot do a better work than to do good to them, for the best way of meeting the wickedness of the world is to do it good. Then we shall dwell safely and securely in the land.

PRAYER

O LORD our God, You are my God, early will I seek You. My soul thirsts for You. My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory, because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You. Dear Lord Jesus how majestic is Your name in all the heaven’s and the earth. You have set Your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger. Plead our cause and strive for us with those who strive with us; Fight against those who fight against us. We believe and trust in You for only in You do we find peace and favor. Dear LORD Jesus, You give us peace not as the world gives but as You give, that our hearts should not be troubled, neither be afraid. Amen
