Joshua 6:15-16 NIV
“On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!”
INSIGHT
–Joshua son of Nun was instructed by the Lord to match around the city of Jericho with his troops and they shall destroy the walls. The people matched around the wall for six days and on the seventh the priests blew the trumpets to access victory. Joshua commanded the people to shout, declaring that God has given them the city. This was a supreme test of persistent faith, obedience, great exploits and divine victory.
PRAYER
We exalt You dear Lord God our King and praise Your name forever. We praise You and extol Your name for ever and ever. Great are You Lord and most worthy of all our praise. Your greatness no one can fathom. You are indeed our Lord, God, Master and Savior, none can be likened to You. None can be compared to You in all the heavens and the earth. Like the Israelites who obeyed and the walls of Jericho collapsed, may You help us to do exploits our Lord and God, our Savior and Father. May You grant us victory in our lives, families, communities and nation. May You help us to do exploits in every area of our lives. We thanks You dear Lord God for You give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
