Psalms 84:11-12 NIV
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.”
INSIGHT
–God provides His unmerited favor and strength for our earthly journey while honor is the reward for our submission to Him. God is descriped as a sun since He is the source of life, warmth, direction and generally provision. God is a shield Who provides protection and safety from physical and spiritual threats. The Lord offers every good to every good man who receives favor but those who do evil are condemned (Proverbs 12:2).
PRAYER
Worthy is Your name dear Lord for You deserve to be praised and exalted. Lord You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. We worship You and sing of Your goodness forevermore. May You release Your unmerited favor upon us and provide every good thing to us, our families and nation. May You protect us from every harm and evil men who desire to kill, steal and destroy us and the things that belong to us. May You provide all our needs, show us Your direction and sustain us. We shall not be smitted by the sun by the day nor the moon by the night for You are our God and You are with us. May You show us Your glory and deliver us from every sin and evil. May You forgive us all our sins and iniquities and wash us with Your precious blood. May You open the flood gates of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon us. May You bless the street families and save them from harm. We give You praise dear Lord Jesus and worship You, Amen
