THEME: PRAYER FOR NATION

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 NKJV

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.”

INSIGHT

–The Lord gave a gracious answer to Solomon’s prayers. God expects, that we His people, who are called by His name, have dishonoured His name by iniquity, we should honour it by repentance of our iniquity. We must humble ourselves under His hand, must pray for the removal of the judgment, must seek His face and favour and yet all this will not be sufficient, unless we turn from our wicked ways and return to Him. God promises His mercy upon us through forgiveness of our sins and healing our land, thus national repentance and reformation is achieved.

PRAYER

We bless Your name Lord God Almighty and praise You for Your goodness and love. We do not forget all Your benefits. Lord we thank You for You forgive our iniquities and heals all our diseases. You redeem our lives from destruction and crowns us with Your lovingkindness and tender mercies. Lord You do not always strive with us nor keep Your anger forever. You do not deal with us according to our sins nor punish us according to our iniquities. May You heal our land dear Lord Jesus from corruption, misuse of funds, blood shed, idolatry, sexual immorality, and other evils that we have committed knowingly and unknowingly. May You open doors for us to progress and move forward economically, socially and spiritually. May You give us good leaders to govern our nation for the glory and honor of Your name. Amen
