THEME: OBEDIENCE TO GOD

John 14:23-24 NIV

“Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.”

INSIGHT

–Obedience to God and His teachings is likened to love for God. The first and greatest commandment is to love your Lord with all your hearts and with all your soul and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37). The result is the indwelling presence of our God in the trinity. The Lord also requires that we feed His sheep through spreading the gospel as instructed in John 21:17 which is also a demostration of love for God.

PRAYER

We extol You Lord God Almighty at all times and Your praise will always be on our lips. We glory in You Lord Almighty let the afflicted hear and rejoice. We glorify You Lord and exalt Your name. We love You God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, may You make Your home with us. Thank You for loving us first, may You enable us to keep Your commandments. May You prosper all our ways and give us good success. May You comfort all those who have lost their loved ones and bring sanity to our schools and school going children. We worship You and exalt Your name, and it is in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
