THEME: DELIGHT

Psalms 40:8 NKJV

“I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”

INSIGHT

–To take delight in the Lord and His will requires us to keep His commandments. In Acts 13:22 we see that the Lord found David the son of Jesse, a man after God’s own heart who will do His will. In Psalms 119:10-11 the Psalmist reminds us to seek the Lord with all our hearts and not to stray from His commands. To delight in the Lord also entails hiding God’s word in our hearts that we might not sin against Him.

PRAYER

Lord God Almighty You have called us to diligently obey Your voice and to observe carefully all Your commandments that You may set us up on high above all nations of the earth. May You dear God bless us in the city and in the country. May You bless the fruit of our body, the produce of our ground, the increase of our herds, the increase of our cattle and the offspring of our flock. May You bless our basket and our kneading bowl. Bless us when we come in and when we go out. We surrender all unto You dear Jesus and submit all our cares unto You for You care for us. We worship You and give You praise, and it is Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen
