THEME: POWER OF SALVATION
Philippians 2:12-13 NKJV
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”
INSIGHT
-It is through the grace of God that we have received the gift of salvation by faith and not through works lest anyone should boast. Jesus calls us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, and not obeying the lusts given to our mortal bodies but presenting ourselves to Him alive from the dead as instruments of righteousness (Romans 6:12-14). We are then expected to think, talk, see, hear and live like Jesus since we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).
PRAYER
We praise You dear Lord Jesus and worship Your holy name. We praise Your name Oh Lord and exalt You now and forevermore. Jehovah from the rising of the sun to its going down Your name Lord name is to be praised. You are lifted high above all nations, Your glory above the heavens. Who is like You Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth. You are Holy indeed dear Lord Jesus may You make us holy according to Your word. We humbly ask that You may renew our minds and hearts to be more like You Jesus in our thoughts, speech, hearts desires and actions which should be pleasing to You dear Lord Jesus. May You our God of peace sanctify us completely and preserve each of us in the body, soul, and spirit blameless at Your coming dear Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
