THEME: GRACE OF GOD
Matthew 27:50-53 NKJV
“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”
INSIGHT
–The death of Jesus Christ reveals His Sovereignty and power through the events that culminated His victory on the cross for all of us by the forgiveness of our sins by His grace. God has therefore made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus overcame death, resurrected and lives forever more. He holds the keys of Hades and Death (Revelation 1:18), and by His grace through faith, we have eternal life.
SUMMARY
During Easter we commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our eternal blessings and salvation. Jesus died for our sins and rose again, providing unearned favor (grace) to all humanity, which allows every believer to be reconciled with God and inherit eternal life. Scripture emphasizes this grace as a free gift, transforming believers from death to life in Christ. It is by grace that we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves but it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-10). We have then been justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness (Romans 3:24-26). Through the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:11-14). Therefore, if the many died by the trespass of the One man, how much more did God’s grace and gift that came by the grace of Jesus Christ, overflowing to the many, which is a gift of God (Romans 5:15-17). God calls us then to approach His throne of grace boldly that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). When we are weak then we are strong through His sufficient grace (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Jesus calls us to believe and trust in Him for He is the resurrection and the life, and the one who believes in Him, though He dies, he shall live (John 11:25-26).
PRAYER
O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law, but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is risen, We glorify You dear Lord Jesus for Your death on the cross and resurrection that has delivered us from eternal condemnation for there is no condemnation for us who are in Christ Jesus but we have victory in You. We declare today that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that is raised against us in judgement shall not prevail in Jesus name. We declare divine grace and acceleration upon our lives and families, jobs and businesses, finances and economy, health and wellness, provision and protection, preservation and faithfulness, churches and ministries in Jesus name. May the Lord supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us now and forevermore. Amen
Blessed Easter Holidays
