THEME: HEART AFTER GOD

Matthew 5:8 NKJV

“Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”

INSIGHT

–Purity of heart is achieved through faith in Jesus Christ by the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Acts 15:8-9). It is by the blood of Jesus that we receive consecration. We are exhorted to draw near to God with sincere hearts in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water (Hebrews 10:20-22). We then see God when our hearts are circumcised to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, and our neighbours as ourselves walking upright before Him, but possess and maintain purity of intention and of affection in all our thoughts, works, and enjoyments, serving God continually with an undivided heart.

PRAYER

We give thanks to You Lord God Almighty and sing praises to Your name O Most High. We declare Your lovingkindness every morning and Your faithfulness every night, for You Lord have made us glad through Your work. We triumph in the works of Your hands O Lord, how great are Your works and Your thoughts are very deep. May You sanctify us completely body, soul and spirit and preserve us blameless at Your coming dear Lord Jesus Christ. May You release Your true salvation to Your children and guide our hearts in Your statutes. We pray this believing and trusting in Jesus mighty name. Amen
