THEME: GOD HEARS

2 Chronicles 20:15 NKJV

“And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

INSIGHT

King Jehosphaphat and the people of Judah and Israel were invaded by troops from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir. The fasted, prayed and sort the Lord for help He delivered them. They put their trust in God and He fought for them. Proverbs 11:7 reveals that, “Hopes placed in mortals die with them; all the promise of their power comes to nothing.” The Lord calls us to trust in Him alone and not in mortals and He will hear us and answer us.

SUMMARY

God listens closely to those who seek Him with sincere hearts. Psalm 34:15 discloses that, “the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.” This confirms that God hears our prayers and responds to our prayers. God also responds to cries that come from desperation and trust. Psalm 18:6, reveals that, “In my distress I called to the Lord; He heard my voice.” God also hears those who approach Him with sincere and humble hears. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says that, “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray then I will hear from heaven.” God hears us which leads to deliverance and restoration. Psalm 34:6 discloses that, “This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; He saved him out of all his troubles.” Through Christ, us believers have confident access to God. 1 John 5:14 quotes that, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” God requires that we seek Him with all our hearts and we will find Him. Jeremiah 29:12-13 discloses,  ”Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”  God hears our prayers, Psalms 54:2 says that, “Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.” God reminds us that we should call upon Him and He will answer us in trouble, deliver us, honor us, and satisfy us with long life and show us His salvation (Psalms 91:14-16).

PRAYER

We give thanks to You Lord, for You are good and Your mercies endures forever. Lord You have redeemed us with Your precious blood and saved us from eternal death, glory and honor belongs to You. May You guide us in the way we should go and deliver us from all evil. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper and every tongue which rises against us in judgment You shall condemn, for this is our heritage, and our righteousness is from You. May Your name be known and exalted in our homes, families, churches and nations, as You release Your salvation grace. Thank You for everything that You have done unto us and continue to do for us. Dear Lord Jesus, may You do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask of or think of according to the power that is at work in us. Dear Lord, we trust in You and exalt You. We believe that You are able to do more than we can think of or imagine. We believe that we shall be exceedingly fruitful according to Your mercy, grace and sure promises. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall dwell in Your house forever. May You bless us and keep us loving Father, may You shine Your face upon us and be gracious to us. May You lift up Your countenance towards us and give us peace. Amen
